The Soene Akari Park event took place in Tokyo from October 30 to November 3, 2020. It promotes light and energy creation every year for 5 days, since 2012, under the leadership of Motoko Ishii Lighting Design. Since 2019, I.C.O.N. is appointed to produce the video projection on the National Science Museum. The event could be held during these 5 evenings, thanks to the reinforced sanitary measures. Despite limitation of number of visitors, the event was very popular and received good media coverage.
Concerning the video, making the script, visual and sound design is always a great moment of creativity as well as of reflection on future energy, particularly hydrogen. That of the 2019 edition being reused, I.C.O.N. chose to complete it by focusing on the effect produced on the nature by a new 2-minutes video. The visitors observed, in large format and on high-quality images, the harmful effects of pollution on landscapes and animals, then the potential benefits of the energy change.
This projection was also powered by hydrogen cars, keeping the spirit up to the end of the reasoning.
