Since 2019, we have been staging an annual video projection (and lighting) on the façade of the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo, inviting the public to reflect on the connections between nature, light and the future of energy. As an integral part of the Soene Akari Park environmental event, each edition explores the theme of hydrogen energy through a poetic and narrative scenario to raise visitors’ awareness.
In 2025, the video shows the journey of a water drop through divers landscapes on the planet earth — rivers, oceans, clouds, forests, storms and polar regions — illustrating the perpetual water cycle as a metaphor for renewable energy, much like hydrogen.
