In 2016, it had been 13 years since Motoko Ishii created a festival to highlight the temple in Nagano (Japan) in commemoration of the Winter OG.
This year, she invited Akari-Lisa Ishii to design its opening ceremony: an original light and music show, which was highly appreciated by numerous visitors on site. The designer chose the theme of peace for the homage to the victims of the attacks of Paris.
A laser projection and color spots were casted on the sanctuary gate and the word "peace" was written in English, Japanese and Portuguese, in correlation with the Rio Olympics.
