Every September in Paris, we present an exhibition on lighting trends at an international design, interior decoration, and lifestyle show (pp. XX–YY - Light Trend exhibition). For this edition of the event, we also took part in the scenography for the site, designing the lighting and sound production for the gallery presenting Paris Design Week. The scenographer wished to project large silhouettes of Parisian monuments. To enliven the setting, the passing hours were narrated through light. The colours of the sunrise and sunset are different all over the world. Particular attention was paid to reproducing the colours of Paris. We worked late into the night to find shades that evoked the morning mist on the Seine, the afternoon sun on a tree-lined Parisian avenue, twilight reflecting off the Eiffel Tower, or the stars in the night sky over the Butte Montmartre. Alternating lights at the end of the long gallery, a sun and a moon gradually changed colour, attracting the attention of visitors and symbolising the passage of time throughout the day. All to music, of course. It was a feast for the eyes for many visitors, almost all of whom captured it through photographs which were often posted on social networks.
