PARIS

EXHIBITIONS “FANTASTIQUE ! KUNIYOSHI “ & “FANTASTIQUE ! L'ESTAMPE VISIONNAIRE“

From 1 October to 17 January 2016, the Petit Palais in Paris holded two joint exhibitions Fantastic!, with prints works from nineteenth century. Kuniyoshi (very colorful and expressive Japanese Ukiyoe works) and Visionnaire (European works in black and white such as Goya, Doré, Delacroix...)
Despite restriction of a very limited lighting level (45-50 lux), the lighting designer managed to create a pleasant and confortable light ambiance and a link between the two exhibitions, while respecting each one’s specificities. Slight veil of light on the colored walls and lighting accentuated each work highlighted the gaiety of Kuniyoshi and mystery of Visionnaire.
