Akari-Lisa Ishii was selected by the French National Museum Reunion to illuminate this exceptional exhibition dedicated to "the father of modern sculpture" and their followers (artists he influenced), with the scenography imagined by Didier Blin, like a sculpture garden. A trustworthy mission full of luminous challenges.
The inauguration took place on March 20 (2017) in the presence of the President of the Republic of France and many VIPs. The exhibition lasted until July 31.
Each of 350 unique artworks required a harmonious and elaborated lighting to reveal the dialogue between different materials, different shapes, different styles ... without denaturing anything.
Wishing to express all the beauty, it was sometimes necessary to use up to 5 projectors for a single sculpture to sublimate its complexity. The neighborhood of very different colors also required subtle lighting.
Akari-Lisa Ishii finished this work delighted : "My best reward was to reveal another facet of the artpiece, through the shadows".
