IES Award of Merit Certification BREEAM FIT-OUT OUTSTANDINGI.C.O.N. was asked by Studios Architecture to create wavy bright ceilings filled with bottles of Coca-Cola, for French offices of the brand. A construction in several steps where the concrete ceiling has been covered with a layer of bright LEDs and a resin to which are fixed semi frosted bottles. In addition, pendant lighting using the bottles are installed in the rest areas and meeting niches.
The bottle remains a highly symbolic element in the universe of Coca-Cola, its use seems obvious but required a lot of technical studies. Various tests were conducted to obtain the correct dosage of frosted glass in particular, and thus maintain the brilliance and transparency of the bottle, while hiding the source carefully. The light color temperature was also carefully chosen to recall the freshness of the beverage.
