BON MARCHE GROUP PURCHASE CARD SPACE, PARIS

A new space at the Bon Marché Paris department store, has been entrusted to the lighting designers of I.C.O.N. After several areas: kids and beauty, this prestigious house created the light of its care area (make-up, massages, etc.) with the company. The Parfums Christian Dior corner also had their care. At the same time, the lighting in the group purchase card space has been renovated. Its purpose is that customers do all their shopping on the different floors and then come and pay, then pick them up there.

 

This mission mainly required study: choice of fixtures, layout, verification of plans, etc. in order to ensure the users comfort (no glare, readability, etc.). It needed to work interior design and architecture in a small space, so it required visual simplicity. The material therefore has the same appearance while the optics are different to adapt to the different functions operated in the areas (entrance, waiting area, reception, etc.). The functions are different then the types and levels of illumination, too. Because of time constraint, the availability of equipment was a key factor.

It's not usual to call on a lighting designer for this kind of "small" mission, but the long collaboration completely justifies it. This trust relationship which moreover obtained the LVMH Life In Store Awards 2022 for Le Bon Marché Kids Corner is based on values such as sustainability, energy saving, etc.
