TRANSFORMATION OF THE MONTRE HERMÈS STAND, BASELWORLD 2015

For the third time, La Montre Hermès assembled their pavilion designed by Toyo Ito and let by Akari Lisa Ishii in 2012, at occasion of the most famous luxuary watch and jewelry fair in Basel (Switzerland).
One found again the open space dressed with a greenery passageway and a wooden grid, composing wave movements on the facade; together with the orange tone textile and wood materials lit in the warm white light, our view is led to the lounge and the upstairs.
This year, an element, designed by L. Puestetto, made with leather ropes was added. This item was also lighted up by I.C.O.N. with orange-red tone which changes slowly the intensity up and down. It was placed at the center of the pavilion, like a beating heart.

Five showcases are designed to expose the work of artist, Eric Vernhes. The lighting for the cases required an utmost care and it was quite complex. We combined the general lighting of the pavilion with a halo integrated in the white frame of the showcase, at the same time taking into account the brightness of the screen display of the work and the spotlight that is focused on precisely the watch hung on the screen.
