Our work on various boutique lighting projects helped us build a solid relationship of trust with this client, leading to a lighting design contract for the beauty salons of one of the world’s leading luxury brands. For these types of spas, located in VIP airport lounges or luxury hotels around the world, we always start by imagining the kind of experience the client desires and the lifestyle they lead, before the design work. Only then do we start working on the lighting that will create the relaxing atmosphere that customers are looking for. In order to respect and enhance the brand’s prestigious image, particular care is necessary with the interiors of these spaces, which are designed using high-quality materials. We had to think about how the lighting, while discreet, can successfully highlight what is most important, namely the customer who plays the leading role, but also the decor, in this case the Dior brand products which share the spotlight; two objectives that must not pull in different directions. It’s up to us to play skillfully with the stage lighting hidden in the backstage and with the nuances of a beautiful white light that confers a feeling of luxury, elegance, and cleanness, when projected onto an interior that is also primarily white.
