The Midi-Pyrénées DRAC entrusted the creation of this museum to the scenographer Didier Blin. Regulary collaborating at his side, Akari-Lisa Ishii here created a permanent lighting that guides the eye of visitors and allows discovery of exhibits. The challenge was to adapt the lighting level sensitive works by balancing with the objects that can receive more light. The museum is located on the heart of the religious building, the designer also ensured to magnify classified medieval architecture of the place, taking into account the contribution of daylight.
Opened in July 2015, the Museum has 230 sacred artifacts (statues, textiles, silverware ...), presented through a modern and interactive scenography, which are revealed in this remarkable monument.
