LE BON MARCHÉ, KID’S CORNER, PARIS

At the new kids’ corner, on the rehabilitated 3rd floor, the spirit of the store is incarnated for the youngest clients, in a space considered as a "mini Bon Marché".
A new fruitful collaboration for I.C.O.N., both with the architect and the client, confirmed by the public at the opening on November 2018.
The meticulous selection of material, aesthetically and qualitatively, was one of the keys to success. Several comparison and mock-up tests were conducted.

Two corners share the space: the 1st, clear and intimate, for the little ones, is a world of softness (soft toys and plush dolls, early learning games, mini dressing by major brands ...). Here lighting is resolved by combination of directional spots and linear wall washers to create an ambient lighting, while enhancing the products. They are complemented by spots on tracks focusing on "pop up" and central demonstrations (thematic or promotional areas for example).
The other corner, for future teenagers, is inspired by a New York loft containing a large selection of fashion, beauty, lifestyle products ... The same type of equipment was used in a spirit of continuity but the color and the intensity are adapted to the architectural design.
The nursery and the bookshop were also treated with special lighting cares, especially with a valuation of the libraries racks and LED ribbons totally invisible on the shelves.
