As part of Jewellumination, Yomiuri Land’s celebrated winter illumination event—one of the most popular in the Tokyo region for many years—we once again designed and produced the annual fountain show.
Entitled “Light Hop⤴️”, the show was composed as a joyful celebration of light and movement. Combining energetic music, playful visual content and dynamic fountain choreography, it made full use of the expressive potential of water, light and water motion to create an uplifting and immersive experience.
Designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, the visual narrative began with cheerful illustrations and vibrant colors inspired by the world of childhood. It then moved through a nostalgic universe of classic rides and attractions before transitioning into a more futuristic vision, imagining the amusement park of tomorrow.
Lasers, neon-inspired effects, colored beams and a wide range of lighting technologies accompanied this progression, symbolizing both innovation and the future development of Yomiuri Land itself.
The soundtrack featured familiar and easy-to-enjoy instrumental music with upbeat rhythms and a distinctly danceable energy. Running for six months, the show delighted countless visitors and contributed to the festive atmosphere that has become a hallmark of Jewellumination.
