Since 2013, we have been responsible for staging the annual show at this theme park’s large fountain, whose winter illuminations have themselves become a very popular attraction. A story based on a different theme each year is expressed through lighting scenarios, an original soundtrack, images projected onto a water screen, and the movement of the fountains. It’s always a difficult task to come up with better proposals than those of previous years. The first year, when we produced “Paris mon amour”, on the theme of a retro Paris, it was a real conundrum, as it was our first time working with water. This work enabled us to master the technique of light choreography, in which the water jets are set to music: the sound of the jets mirroring the steps of a Bastille Day parade, and the pink swaying movement acting like the feathers of the French can-can. We have gone on to explore a variety of themes, both figurative and abstract, from the northern lights to Greek mythology, tropical islands, anniversaries, and love for the planet, etc. Each time, our creative technique transforms the water into flowers, birds, mountains, and so much more.
