FAURÉ LE PAGE, GALERIES LAFAYETTE CORNER, PARIS

This manufacturer of guns and cases for the French royal family, founded in the early eighteenth century, wanted to renovate its department store corners and boutiques so as to bring its image up to date. The importance of lighting was seen as an integral part of this process, and the architectural firm of an old acquaintance was kind enough to reach out to us. The challenge was to enhance the chic atmosphere created by the combination of matt gold metal and wood, while revealing its modernity. High-quality, neutral white light was chosen to make the colours of the products on display more vibrant and to highlight the design of the products with their distinctive yellow inlays. Based on detailed plans, we concealed the minimalist lighting fixtures in the furniture as much as possible, while also ensuring harmony with the department store ceiling lighting. Even in a small space, light can play an important role in revitalizing a brand and its image.
