ELISABETH BRIDGE, BUDAPEST

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the resumption of diplomatic relations between Hungary and Japan in 2009, Japan offered a gift of light on this bridge carrying the name of the beloved Empress. The illumination installation is permanent so to symbolize the ever-lasting friendship between two countries who has actually 140 years of relationships. I.C.O.N. assisted Motoko Ishii Lighting Design for coordination with the local lighting design team to ensure the project management in Europe and esthetical result using local products.
